SPENNYMOOR Town FC lost out on the Eric Powell Charity Cup when they were beaten by penalties at the hands of Middlesbrough FC.
Wilson Kneeshaw gave the visitors the lead after 26 minutes at the Brewery Field but Daiel Moore pulled one back for the Moors in the second half.
Witht he tie event after 90 minutes, the game went to penalties, with Middlebrough winning 4-1.
